| What's New Caña Latin Kitchen & Bar Las Vegas' first Ceviche-style restaurant, Caña Latin Kitchen & Bar, is now open at Town Square. Caña, which translates to "sugar cane" in Spanish, offers South American-inspired fare. The menu features small plate selections, called "bocadillos," to entice diners with a "shared eating" concept and introduce them to Ceviche, a traditional staple of South American culture. With prices ranging from $6 to $14, Caña's offerings include scallop Ceviche with mango, mint and pomegranate seeds, a Big Eye Tuna flatbread, short ribs, a mushroom Ceviche with lemon, orange and truffle oil, and a banana/rum bread pudding. Caña also houses the finest sugar cane-based spirits and South American wines and beers. The restaurant is on the second level across from RAVE Motion Pictures and near Blue Martini. | Center Happenings: Run for a Wish Kendall Tenney's 9th annual Run for a Wish is slated for February 6 at 9 a.m. at Town Square and there's still time to participate. The event is organized by the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Nevada and is the largest fundraising event of the year.Proceeds of this event will be used to fulfill wishes for children who are battling life-threatening illnesses. | Center Happenings: Klip it for Kidz The second annual Klip it for Kidz will be held at Town Square on March 13. Klip it for Kidz, presented by Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County Fire Department, will benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation's programs and services for critically ill children and their families living in Southern Nevada. There is no cost to attend the event, which will include visits from local celebrities and politicians, live entertainment, food and drinks and exhibitions by the Metropolitan Police Department's K-9 unit, S.W.A.T. Team, Bomb Squad, Mounted Patrol, Motorcycle Units, a Clark County Fire Truck and more.Local professional hair stylists will be shaving heads and cutting hair to be donated to Locks of Love for participants who have collected pledges to benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. | Center Happenings: Project Playhouse Three themed playhouses will be on display at Town Square from February 25 through March 27 to showcase Project Playhouse, a fundraiser for homeless service providers such as Boys Town, Catholic Worker, Family Promise and Women's Development Center. Local builders and sponsors have joined to design the three playhouses that will be raffled at Town Square on March 27. HomeAid Southern Nevada partners with homeless service providers and the building industry to construct, refurbish and maintain housing for homeless families and individuals. The houses are built by Pardee Homes, Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, Carpenter Sellers Architects and Cox Management.
